Iowa Tenants' Project
Continuing Legal Education - CLE

The Iowa City Tenants' Project is committed to tenants' rights and to fair play for both tenants and landlords. As part of its assistance to attorneys and community outreach the Tenants' Project offers free CLE, continuing legal education, for local attorneys. All CLEs are free and no registration is necessary!
The current CLEs are
  1. DeStefano & Caruso: Changes in Iowa City Landlord/Tenant Law. from 12-1 pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, Room B, at the Iowa City Public Library. This has been approved by the Iowa Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 1 hour of CLE credit as activity #228029.

  2. The Landlord Pays? Tenants' Project's New Innovative Complaint Process, from 12-1 pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, Room D, at the Iowa City Public Library. This has been approved by the Iowa Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 1 hour of CLE credit as activity #227995.

The previous CLE are Brave New World: Changes in Iowa City Landlord/Tenant Law. from 12-1 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, Room B, at the Iowa City Public Library. This has been approved by the Iowa Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 1 hour of CLE credit as activity #113642.

Our previous CLE was Changes in Advertising Ethics from 12-1 pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, Room B, at the Iowa City Public Library. This has been approved by the Iowa Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 1 hour of ethics CLE credit as activity #96705. This CLE will discuss the major changes taking place in ethics for attorney advertising and client contact that go into effect January of 2013.
